Name:[/u] Peridot {Peri}
Gender:[/u] Mare
Age:[/u] 4 Years
Chosen Alliance:[/u] Neutral
Breed:[/u] Quarter Horse
Height:[/u] 14.3 HH
Physical Description:[/u] Peri's image includes a sleek dark brown coat, nearly always coated with a layer of dirt. Her wispy mane and tail are a pitch black and are a bit lengthy.
Personality:[/u] Peridot is absolutely infamous for her harsh attitude. She's quick with come backs that tend to hit the weakest spots in horses, so think twice before insulting her. Despite her tough outer layer, she has a soft spot...Deep, deep inside of her, which remains hidden and kept secret, only to be revealed to the ones closest to her. Having natural leadership qualities, she tends to hold herself among others. Not because she's conceited, though her outrageous pride makes it seem that way. She tends to lack friends mostly because she feels it's too much trouble to get emotionally attached to someone. Every once in awhile she'd prefer to be in complete silence and solitude because she spent most her time as a loner, wandering from herd to herd, or area to area. She's constantly looking for a good fight to either participate in or watch. Anything where blood-shed is involved, she's sure to be lurking around on the side lines, or taking part among the action. She's especially cruel to mares, and the reasons make sense in her opinion. She feels that most mares tend to lunge themselves at any male who's willing to be there, and throwing away all self-respect and dignity.
History:[/u] Peri was abandoned as a foal, however this isn't the reason for her infamous attitude. Eventually she got sick of being the horse that others could step all over with no concern for her. No matter how hard she tried to be nice, no one seemed to accept her. She was finally able to find a herd where she seemed to fit in with her newly formed attitude. She fell in love with the herd, and eventually with the Lead Stallion, Charcoal. Feeling ignored and frustrated, she threatened to leave. Fearing that Peridot would follow through with her threat, Charcoal had told her he loved her. Peridot remained in the lands, dubbed Dark Cavern. However, she soon found out that Charcoal had just lied to her to keep her there. Unfortunately she found this out after she was already pregnant with their foal, Contradiction. Feeling used she left for another herd. Later, she was told there'd been a hurricaine in her previous lands. She returned to Dark Cavern, but typically, nothing had changed. But she stayed in the area where she could have her foal safely. Contradiction was born with a birth defect that came extremely close to killing her at a very young age. Eventually she was able to gain her strength, and when old enough, she left her mother to start a life of her own. Annoyed with Chalk and with her daughter gone, Peri left for new lands never to return there again, while struggling to erase the pain the stallion inflicted on her.

She countered his smirk with one of her own, as his mind informed her of his hatred towards Altari who would more than likely become her lead. His offer of a high-ranked position was just too tempting to turn down, and though she feared the lands may be to light for her fancy, she was slightly power hungry, so she'd take her chances in Serenity Falls.
Slowly, she was beginning to find out more and more about this stallion, making conversation pointless to say the least with the new power of being able to conjure up his thoughts. They could easily just read each other's minds instead of wasting breath on words. She sighed, curiousity beginning to envelope her mind, and ultimately making it's way towards Viranchi as it grew unrelentlessly. She released a snort of irritation, the mulitude of thoughts stumbling through her mind was too much for her liking. She withdrew her mind from his, leaving his thoughts to be voiced aloud of need be. Now she knew one weakness when it came to him. Of course, it was a small one, but something that could surely be used nonetheless. "Problem with Altari?" she questioned, her voice holding a sly note that seemed to cling to every syllable of every word that was released into the warm air. Obviously, she knew the answer to the question that had certainly entered his thoughts moments before. Apparently there was something between the two, and she wanted to find out. Although her voice rang with that coy note, she tried to sustain it as much as she could after being informed of what he capable of. But the touchy stallion would probably find some reason to punish her. She rolled her eyes at the thought. Clearly, Viranchi felt the need to prove himself for whatever reason. His life was obviously so small and insignificant that he needed to gain respect, actually needed to force horses to show respect to him. How pathetic, she thought, sending the thought loudly through her mind, and only hoping he'd pick up on it.
The thought was a defiant one, but she refused to add to the stallion's satisfaction by keeping her personality locked away as not to offend him and therefore cause harm to her well-being. Again, she could care less what happened to her, and so her thoughts were free to move about her mind, uncaring as to who was listening in.
Her eyes narrowed into slits as she took in his expression, curious as to what he was thinking, what he was planning to do with her life after knowing it was his to posess. There were so many things he was capable of, a multitude of fates he could force upon her and she was too weak to prevent any of it. She'd learned what he'd done previously to other beings such as herself and the pleasure he took in inflicting that pain, so she felt no need to scan his mind a second time. Why ruin the surprise?
She lost her balance for the briefest moment as the water descended to land on her back, turning the light brown shades that made up her pelt into a rich, dark, chocolate color. Releasing an audible snort, she regained her footing, shooting him an angry glare before looking away to stare into the blue abyss a mile away.
His seduction-filled voice, sent her gaze shooting back to meet his, her ears pricking to catch his words. She resisted the urge to sneer at the pet-name he'd so cleverly come up with. His question was a tough one to answer. She'd constantly asked herself this, wondering why she just didn't enter the dark lands. After all, it was where she belonged, where she fit in, but she just didn't feel like she met the qualities the heartless beasts posessed who inhabited the dark lands. Even with the questioned voice aloud, it would remain unanswered. She released a wicked laugh, her eyes roaming over his form for a split second. "Because I choose to avoid the a*ssholes who make it their life's work to show that their powerful, just so they can prove to themselves that they're not worthless pieces of sh*it." Her voice was sharp, holding an icy layer and an intensity that she hoped would catch his ears. "Hmm..Remind you of anyone?"
She braced herself for whatever he would throw her way. She didn't care anymore. She was sick of restraining the words that danced in her head. He would only discover them anyway. Was there really a point in keeping them locked within her?
