Silent and Observant are the best words to describe the dove. Often Staring deep into her Caramel hue's you can see that there is pain that resides deep inside. Darkness rolled across the sky like Waves crashing upon the shore, A moon had risen high above the now deserted plains casting a soft glow upon the lush greenery. The pounding of hooves against the soft earth, Drummed across the lands. Rhythmic and soft.. Dum Dum.. Dum Dum. Alone a figure entered the plains, The moon casting a glow around the lone figure. Sweat lingered on the muscled form, Nare's flared as she attempted to catch her breath.. Her pace had slowed increasingly, Now only prancing about the lush grass. Warm Caramel hue's danced across the barren lands, There was scent of many other equine lurking in the air, but it was empty now. The other equine that scent's filled this area had probably gone home by now, Left to be with their families or herd's. No one had time for her.. Why was she even here?
The dove that walked now, in the bare and empty place, was beautiful. Even now, with her glistening pelt wet from the sweat of her run, her pelt matted in sand and other debri. She was beautiful, Rich caramel hue's held a deep sadness as she stared into the moon. It's dapple Grey surface so mesmerizing, It was alone to. Even surrounded by million's of star's the Moon was alone. Somehow she felt calm by the fact that she wasn't alone anymore. Or at least, not alone in her loneliness that is. Without her love Alijah here to make her smile, she fell even more into despair. Taking her gaze from the moon, it fell now to the plain once more.. How she deeply longed for companionship. The soft comforting voice of her Father.. Or even her fellow herd mate's. They would all be greatly welcomed in her current state of.. despair. A warm breeze danced across, slapping her mane against her neck. Rich curls danced and bounced in the breeze, she smiled. It had been awhile since she had smiled. It felt.. good. The vision always came when she seemed close to feeling at least alright.. The smell of blood, the blank and lifeless eye's staring into space. Cringing she fought the urge to allow tear's to roll from her hue's, she let a sorrowful moan pass through her velvet lip's. "Why not me?" the word's were soft and melodic, though filled with pain and many question's. Why hadn't she been drug off like the rest. At least she would've been with her family in the end. Died like the rest of them, or been taken by the Two legged one's. Anger, once more pulsated through her vein's. Silly pale faced Skinny folk, She could bury them. If only her power's were at least as decent as they were now. Perhaps she could have helped her family. Though her Father's words always raced through her skull "We are never to use our power's amongst the Two Leg's.. They will take us away.. And you'll never taste the air of freedom again.." Even now his words sent chills down her spine.
Like a butterfly, her thoughts drifted from the horror that always took over. Amber hue's turned upon a river that washed through the plains, Beside it a large Oak. It's mangled roots gripped the very earth, it looked as if it was attempting to pull itself from it's prison in the dirt. Again that wondrous and mysterious smile etched itself upon her velveteen lip's, Dagger's moved swiftly carrying the mare towards the river. Her throat suddenly felt like sandpaper. Dipping her muzzle quickly into the cool liquid, she cool feel the relief wash over her body. Perhaps she'd been neglecting herself to long. Thus, she leaned her long neck over the water to catch a glimpse of herself, her fur was covered in dirt blood and other unknown particles. This would not do. Slowly, cautiously long pillar's slipped into the cool liquid. The clear water reached her shoulder's, her long tail and mane floated along in the river's current. Slowly, she immersed herself beneath the cool water, washing the debris from her for good. It was no wonder no one hardly spoke to her, she looked like the living dead. Rising again to her full height, the mare shook her neck, white tassels clung to her formed neck and shoulder's, Once more as the water calmed she glanced at herself. The Jirina that many knew was alive, or at least looked that way. Her heart felt dead, as did her soul... Long Pillar's reached out of the river and back onto solid ground, Water rushed onto the soil as dirt took over water. Again she shook, Thus relieving any droplets to the earth, where they quickly fell into little cracks and crevices. Jirina could feel the hungry tug in her belly, she probably hadn't eaten in day's.. If not longer. Heaving a heavy sigh, she dipped her velvet lips into the lush greenery, Nibbling on this.. Chewing on that. Tall tower's flickered to and fro listening for any form of danger. It was silent. All but the song of the cricket's chirping off in the background. It was a beautiful night for a lonely mare.
